On Friday, we learned that scientists are people who study the world around them. Scientists use inquiry to learn. Inquiry means asking questions and looking for answers.
Our class was shown a picture of a rover exploring the surface of Mars. We decided to brainstorm a list of questions we have about Mars. Wow! Did you know that our class is full of scientists?
Help our scientists by leaving a comment and answering one of their questions. Do you have any questions about Mars? Thank you!
Why is Mars red?
Is Mars made out of gas or is it made out of rock? Or is Mars made out of gas and rock?
Why are there no lakes on Mars?
Why are there not as many people on Mars as there are on Earth?
Why is Mars all red?
Why are there no plants or animals on Mars?
How can the rover withstand the heat on Mars?
Why is Mars called Mars?
Why is there no life on Mars?
Why aren't there trees on Mars?
Why is there no nature on Mars?
Do astronauts go on Mars?
Question: Why are there not as many people on Mars as there are on Earth?
ReplyDeleteD. answered: "Because there are dust storms and people can get killed."
Many blessings,

Omer really loves the science lessons:)Thank you for such "intriguing science" questions.
ReplyDeleteHere is a funny one from Omer. Why do schools not have a "smelling test like they have hearing and eye checks?
Omer's thoughts to his own question:It sure would be helpful to detect a rotten sandwich in your lunch bag:)
Thanks a million for a great school year so far.
